Our Vision

ReCONNECT was set-up by Connect Community Trust (link to CCT site), with the aim of helping reduce waste within Glasgow and to create local training and employment in the East End of Glasgow.

As the name says… we’re ReConnecting Glasgow residents and companies to items that would’ve been sent to landfill, we want to connect Glasgow residents in a mission to recycle, reuse and help the environment.

For us, it's not just about picking up furniture and household items and selling them on, we want to upcycle the furniture, bringing them up to date and providing quality at affordable prices.  We provide a range of options for people on low budgets to those with a bit of money to spend.  By working with housing associations and having a showroom open to the public and a website we are able to reach all those looking for something for their house.

We're supporting local and national government to work towards a Zero Waste Scotland and making Glasgow and environmentally aware and friendly place to live in!

Once you walk through our door everything you see is for sale and we know you'll find something that you'll love.

Apart from saving the environment....

The opportunities through ReConnect grow by the minute and the team of ReConnect and Connect Community Trust use creativity, imagination and quite a bit of elbow grease to produce items for resale and reuse within the community.

It’s not all about reuse and our vision to save the environment, ReConnect provides a range of training, volunteering and employment opportunities, check out the section on this site to see what’s available at the moment or just pop in and have a chat with us!
